The Sundered Gate - Tuesday , July 20 , 2004

So I'm Abe. I'm the originator of all that which is The Sundered Gate (I do the writing, drawing, coloring, web page stuff... you name it).
That doesn't really tell you anything that you didn't already know, though; so who is Abe? Well, I live in South Carolina and am double majoring in Physics and Mathematics. I'm a bit late on the whole degree thing, being nearly 25. No, I haven't failed several years in a row; I dropped out for a while.
I unfortunately work doing helpdesk support for government Win2k systems. This consumes much of my time, energy, and patience. It also functions to pay the bills, so I don't complain too bitterly.
Speaking of bills, I have two roommates. I think it's some sort of cosmic requirement that webcomic authors have roommates when they start out. *shrug* I also have a wonderful girlfriend whom I'll not gush about here because those people actually interested enough to read this really don't want to hear it.

That pretty much covers the conditions of my life at the moment. So what do I do for fun other than drawing comics?
I like anime (as is most likely made obvious by my art style) and I read a fair amount. I enjoy art aside from manga-esque comicking and would like to take up painting one of these days. I'd love to learn to paint with oils, but the expense is a bit beyond me, so I suppose I'll be settling for watercolors for now. I play a fair bit of DDR and Pump It Up but not much in the way of normal computer gaming. I don't watch television and haven't for about a year but I do enjoy movies.
That pretty much sums it up. Work and school absorb most of my time. We have a weekly d&d session going for the summer, but who knows if it will survive school starting back up in the fall.
